Charles Lee Trundle, 82 of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 28, 2023. He grew up helping his family in Trundle’s Grocery across from Woodstation Church, and remained in the community his whole life. He was a hard worker and retired from Standard Coosa-Thatcher. Even though Charles worked at SCT, farming was his passion. He spent every day working in the fields, cutting firewood, buying, selling, and working cattle, pulp-wooding, hauling mountain stone, tending chicken houses, or helping others in the community, etc. His most cherished time was spent reading his Bible and spending time with his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady Trundle and Roberta Bowman Trundle; sister, Barbara Watts; brothers Ed and Fred Trundle; nephew, Fred “Bo” Trundle, and great nephew, Johnathan Tinker. Charles is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Steve) Jones, Tammy (Brian) Willingham, Conny Burke; sister, Elaine (Gary) Jeffers; grandchildren, Brett Jones, Lauren (James) Gribben, Taylor Jones (Eric Napierala), Afton (Andrew) Babb, David (Cate) Willingham, Joseph Willingham, Chase (Michaela) Burke, and Gracie Drew Burke; seven great grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Woodstation Church and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Woodstation Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Woodstation Church with Pastor Jamie Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodstation Cemetery.
