Clara June Guthrie Bell age 91, of Kensington, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Thursday – March 2, 2023.

She was born in Harrison, Tennessee to the late Ralph and Clara Marie Miller Guthrie. She was a former employee of Chattanooga Paper, Kensington Water Company and served as dietary cook for several of the local nursing homes. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and thought every stick and pine cone needed to be picked up out of the yard as soon as it hit the ground. She was a member of Cassandra Baptist Church for many years.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Foye Alexander “Bo” Bell, son: Ernest Timothy “Tim” Bell, sisters: Mary Sue Burrows, Mildred Stevenson. Brothers: Larry, Tom, Lee and Ralph Guthrie, Jr. She is survived by her children: John (Sandra) Bell of Kensington, GA, Joan (Ralph) Brown of Flintstone, GA, daughter-in-law: Debra Darlene Hess Bell of Kensington, GA, brother: Bill (June) Guthrie of Kensington, GA, six grandchildren: Marie (Jon) Hamilton, Kimberly (Kevin) Smith, Christy (Vincent) Madden, Brian (Crystal) Brown, Jennifer (Jeff) Mitchell, Corey (Janel) Brown, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 am until 4:00 pm prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm – Saturday – March 4, 2023 in the chapel with Pastor Ronnie Millican officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Kensington, Georgia.
