The county’s fiscal 2027 budget currently faces a one-point-nine-million-dollar gap. Commissioners are considering spending cuts, new revenue options and service levels, while hoping to avoid using reserve funds. The county says difficult decisions will be needed as rising costs, state mandates and other expenses continue to impact the budget.
