Eric Edward Ealy, 51, of East Ridge passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He was born on January 10, 1972 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and a 1990 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. Eric had been employed at Shaw Industries for over 30 years. He enjoyed racing slot cars at the Dalton Drag Strip, drag racing, 4 wheeling and loved playing pool.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Carlton Ealy; step-father Wesley James, and his grandparents Ruby Ealy and Bill Ealy and Helen White and Jay White.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Robin Jane Ealy; mother, Teresa James; daughters, Brittney (Aaron) Hudgens and Erin Ealy; sisters, Cassie Frogge, Carrie (Derrick) Lamb and Melissa (Daniel) Tidwell; grandson, Slade Hudgens; along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Ridge Needy Child Fund.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday September 16 with Ted Verville officiating.  Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Thursday and Friday and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
