Howard Allen Edmondson, Sr., age 60, of Chickamauga, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Allen was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Charles Don and Connie Mae Carroll Edmondson. He attended Kirkman High School and worked as a certified ASE Mechanic by trade. He was the former manager of Tilden’s Automotive in Fort Oglethorpe, worked for Smith’s Garage in Chickamauga for many years and had also worked for Synthetic Industries in Chickamauga. He was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Allen enjoyed working on cars, watching NASCAR - #3 and was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan – “Go Big Orange.” Allen was a great example of what a husband and Dad should be, coaching his boys in football and baseball, supporting them at all times, always a phone call away to fix something or just dropping by to check on them. He was a true hero to his family. He loved his sons very much, and when the grandchildren came along he even gave more love to them and enjoyed every moment he could spent with them. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Mitch Edmondson. Allen was dearly loved and cherished by his wife of forty-two years: Kimberly Lee Morgan Edmondson, sons: Howard Allen “A.J.” (Kelsi) Edmondson, Jr., of Rock Spring, GA, Jarred Michael (Amy) Edmondson of Chickamauga, GA, sisters: Tina (Doug) Barbee of Trenton, GA, Lisa (Robert) Ferrick of East Ridge, TN, last, but certainly not least his beloved grandchildren: Tucker, Chandler, Pyper, Reese Edmondson, Ethan and Hayden Inman, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday – December 23, 2023 at the funeral home. Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm – Saturday – December 23, 2023 in the chapel with Pastor Barry Williams officiating.
