County residents got a chance to voice their concerns over a proposed rock quarry at a Town Hall meeting last night. Residents who live near the proposed quarry say they should have been told about the process months before they found out. An online petition against the quarry has almost 1,000 signatures. Developers say the quarry would bring new jobs to the area. The proposed quarry sits near Ridgeway Road and Oakton Road on Highway 27. The closest home would be 2,000 feet from the quarry. Another Town Hall is being planned to give residents more opportunities to ask questions.
